Christmas Eve at Craiglieth
What could be nicer than a Christmas Eve ski with friends. Craiglieth opened their doors to the public and with a donation for the food banks we got to ski, hardly anyone was there. The frost covered the branches and it was truly magical.

Eastern Screech Owl
This little guy I rescued. He flew right into the side of my car on Grey Road 13. Wham, right into the passenger window! I put him into a nice box the next morning and my friend Robert took him to the owl centre near Hamilton for rehab which consisted of stitches and recovery from a concussion. In the spring the rehab centre called, Robert picked him up and we released him in our back field, it was amazing.

Kingfisher being still?
I see these swift birds regularly long the Beaver River when we go for a paddle… do you think I can get many photos of them? Nope they move down the river just ahead of the canoe, every time I think a good shot is about to happen they flit off. Darn I missed again, not sure why this one stayed put, got him.

Early morning dew on webs
This was a magical morning … with a quietly made cup of coffee so as not to wake those sleeping in at the cottage, a friend and I had a silent paddle with our coffee and cameras.
