the Turkey Vulture’s are back!
Yes, they are back … now it’s a little harder to find the eagle for the flocks of vultures that make the valley their home.
Just arrived after a long flight from the south.
Turkey Vulture – Immature
All summer I have been seeing vultures with black heads soaring in the valley, could it be that they are Black Vultures which rarely come this far north … nope it’s more likely that they were immature Turkey Vultures like this one which was at the side of the road picking on a bone.
Grouse on the roadside
The drive to Tobermory can be long and desolate, spotting a Grouse Hen on the roadside and make the trip 🙂
