Snowies are back!
Had a great time looking for Snowy Owls, they are back from the far north! I personally saw 9 birds south of Stayner, and on the way home an additional 3 birds, for a total of 12, my personal record!

This old gem in parked south of Durham on Hwy 6…. no wonder why it takes so long to drive Emma to Western!
This beautiful bird has just taken off from a low branch, you can really see how hard it has to beat it’s wings it fly and how much it dips towards the ground each time it flaps it’s wings. Of course it’s photoshopped, don’t even ask lol.
Along Grey Road 32 hovering above it’s prey, a Northern Harrier Hawk!
This photo is stark, just like November … time to head south.

The first snowfall of the year. My view as I drive to the studio in the morning. Love my compute to work.
All summer I have been seeing vultures with black heads soaring in the valley, could it be that they are Black Vultures which rarely come this far north … nope it’s more likely that they were immature Turkey Vultures like this one which was at the side of the road picking on a bone.
The falls colours are spectacular this fall, tried something a little different today … I think they would look great as canvas fine art images!
Behind Brent and Jenny’s house we went for a walk after Thanksgiving dinner, this is what I call Jenny Falls. Located in the Beaver Valley, the main waterfall is about 50 feet.
