Cormorant
In the Owen Sound harbour this Cormorant was drying out it’s wings. They are fishing birds that get wet when they swim and have to dry out their feathers when they come out of the water.

Blue Heron
This photo was one of my first photos of a bird that got me excited about trying to capture images of birds. It was in a ditch which was overflowing into the Beaver River.

Sun streamers
This horse was the lone horse left at camp during the Shore to shore 5 days 250 mile endurance race. He seemed quite content to sleep in the sun rays, I love this shot.
Kestral
Early arrival
These Black Turns are just arriving at Point Peele Provincial Park, it’s exciting to see the birds as they arrive on the north shore after a long flight.
Endangered, except in our meadow
Collingwood Terminals
It was a very still night as we watched from Sun Set Point. The long exposures helped to make the water appear glossy.
