Often in the flock with the goldfinches, a little shyer although the feeder is a favourite place to be.

Crows of a different colour!

Saw three, captured two with my camera… driving along Grey Road 13 north of Heathcoate. I know there was one for several years on this stretch of road, and now there are three that I have seen. Frequently they are mistaken for Magpies!

Pressure Test at Blue Mountain

Every fall the ski resorts pressure test the snow making systems and turn all the guns on full blast misting the slopes with a fine spray of water. If any leaks developed under the high pressure of the pumps required to make snow during colder temperatures it can be more easily welded before the snow arrives.
